Thunderbirds are GO!
In it's long and storied history, the IMAI company produced many Thunderbirds and Gerry Anderson-related model kits in Japan. Unfortunately, they went out of business a few years ago and
sold all their assets to Aoshima. While Aoshima has re-issued several IMAI Thunderbirds kits, this cool metal parts set is yet to see the light of day. Luckily, in our travels we found
a limited amount of this set in a forgotten warehouse in Japan, gathering dust (which has since been wiped off).
This parts set for 350th scale Thunderbird 2 kits includes machined brass, white-metal parts and photo-etched of details for the IMAI and Aoshima TB-2 models. It also includes a metal weight to be mounted behind the cockpit to keep the model level on its landing gear.
If you've been waiting to build your TB2 because you haven't had time to scratch up a detailed set of engines, your wait is over!
Though the box shows them unpainted on the model, we suggest you slap 'em with a coat of a nice semi-transparent red so that metal shows through.
